Luca Carrà obtained his Electronic Engineer degree in 1997 at the University of Genova.
He joined RINA 2001 and he was involved in Electrical and Automation plan approval and Type approval activities.
Over 20 Years of RINA experience in plan approval and type approval activities, also involved in onboard surveillance and training activities for the RINA surveyors pertinent to System Automation and Control Systems on board ships. on Commectial/Passemger & Yaching Vessels
3 years of experience in the Passenger Excellence Center Team based in the USA – Fort Lauderdale – Florida where I was in charge of:
The development of new services and support to the Ship Owners and Shipyard such as new project assessment, technology qualifications, Cyber Security Awareness courses, Cyber Resilience Assessment, OT/IT Asset Inventory in compliance with Class & NIST framework.
Today he is part of the RINA Marine Consulting Team as Automation and Cyber Security Product Manager with the specific task of developing new customer services focused on support shipyard adopting the new IACS Requirements UR E22/26/E27 for new buildings, support Makers/sys suppliers in E27 Certification, driving clients such as Ship owners to achieve
compliance Vs. Flags, vetting’s inspections and Class requirements evaluating Marine Cyber Security solutions on board legacy fleet and new ships design.
